Winter is fast approaching

Snow is forecast for Wednesday, and I'm told that the leaves are past peak, but they still look pretty great to me.

I affectionately call things like this daddy daycare. Mom can't watch, and Dad and Nathan couldn't be having a better time. It happens more often than you'd think . . .

Inspired by the recent Olympic games, Nathan has joined a Chinese athletic academy to pursue his dream of a gold medal in men's trampoline. His round the clock training is already paying big dividends.

The leaves are changing, the weather is beautiful despite the chill, and Nathan was at a football game working on his Middlebury Super Fan status -- it must be Fall! (yes, Midd won the game, and yes, Nathan plans to spend his college years in Walla Walla, just don't tell his Dad)

End of Summer

We have arrived in Vermont after a wonderful visit in Oregon. I've added a picture of Nathan having a great time at the tide pools with his cousin Jackson and Mema; one of Nathan when he learns that we have to leave the beach; and finally a picture of our little traveller--despite many weather and airline delays he is buckled in and looking forward to his next adventures in Middlebury.
